Description

The TAM Interface for MATLAB® enables access to Triamec's high-end motion control solution from within MATLAB. Users can capture measured data such as 16-bit current values from Triamec's servo drives simultaneously with analog signals from other sources, such as torque sensors, synchronously (100 ns). The sampling rate can be up to 50 kHz and is streaming, so that near real-time processing is possible. Triamec's servo drives have a 100 kHz control loop, yielding best possible control bandwidth and performance.

The TAM Interface for MATLAB, a DLL, and MATLAB code connects servo drives and advanced I/O-controllers using the Tria-Link fieldbus and a PCI/PCI-express adapter card to MATLAB. It provides many object-oriented methods to transparently access the fieldbus devices, PLC-open movement commands, read and write of registers, and data-logging up to 50 kHz.
