How can I plot a 2D Phase samples in x and y direction with smooth contouring?

I have a phase data samples out from FFT in x and y direction. I want to draw a 2D plot for this dataset with a smooth shape and constraints, So that I only have three colors red(180 degree) white(0 degree) and blue(-180 degree). I tried contourf(z,v) but it doesn't work well with the 2D plot. If anyone have better code to plot or contour this dataset, please inform me.
