Job Summary

The MathWorks is looking for a smart, creative and energetic Software Engineer with interest in building massively scalable concurrent systems. Your curiosity and passion should drive innovation and production quality to new levels. Successful candidates will work on a fun and thought-provoking engineering team who share a passion for getting things done and delivering well crafted, high quality code.


  • Collaborate in a fast paced Agile environment with a growing and highly collaborative team
  • Develop requirements, write design specifications, and participate in code reviews
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of relational database concepts
  • Experience with Maven
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree, or a PhD degree is required.
  • Experience with Java

Preferred Qualifications

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Scala or AWS
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • 1+ years of experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript or modern web technology
